Where to Learn SEO Content Writing for Free

The answer: Right here at the Ambitious Writer Society! Have you seen our free SEO writing training video yet?

There are plenty of free SEO content writing courses out there, and many are really great.

But when I first got into SEO writing, I noticed that most of these courses were made for business owners and/or marketing managers - not for professional writers.

In this post, I want to talk about the need for more SEO writing training for writers and how you can get into the wonderful, fulfilling, fun and profitable world of SEO writing.

Excerpt shot from our training.

Here at AWS, we have an in-depth SEO training video entitled…

“How to Successfully Find and Live Off Steady, Well-Paid SEO Writing Jobs — without the Cheap Newbie Rates, Mind-Numbing Projects or Working Full Time.”

Even the Best SEO Content Writing Courses Weren’t Made for Writers

Over the years, I’ve learned so much about SEO writing, really out of necessity in my work. I was an authority in the health and nutrition field, which was great, but clients were also asking me to optimize my writing for SEO (which I had no idea how to do).

So, when I was trying to figure out where to learn SEO content writing for free, I came across several free courses, blogs and lead magnets, which was awesome!

But then, when I would open up these SEO writing courses, I realized they were not tailored to the needs and background knowledge of writers.

The course content was full of techy stuff, full of management tactics, and frankly, full of things I didn’t need to know about SEO.

As you can imagine, I spent a lot of time with these courses, but most of the information was inapplicable to what I needed to know as a writer - especially as a writer who wanted to work for clients.

Yes, I definitely gained a ton of amazing background knowledge, but when it came to the instructors speaking my (non-techy) language and helping me get into the world of SEO writing, these courses fell short.

Most free SEO content writing courses won’t tell you how to create high-quality, creative and authentic content. And they definitely don’t teach you how to find work as an SEO writer.

Then Came Our SEO Content Writing Training Video…

So basically, this is now your classic story of “I couldn’t find the resources I needed, so I created them.”

This Ambitious Writer Society course is exactly what I needed to get started as a professional SEO writer. The information is completely tailored to the needs of writers while still giving you a solid foundation of general SEO information.

Get the basics in our free SEO content writing video.

You’ll Learn Some Basics of SEO

My goal was to create one comprehensive course that gives writers all the relevant SEO writing training they need in one place. After watching this SEO content writing free course, you absolutely will know what to do for your "next steps.”

It covers those 3 “secrets” (and more) in a self-paced video training that you can watch over the course of a few days. It’s about 1.5 hours in length, but you don’t have to watch it all on one sitting.

Or, if you’re like me and like to power through things, you could get through this easy breezy video within the day.

You’ll Learn Key SEO Lingo

I had to learn SEO jargon on-the-job, which led to lots of quick Googling and stammering on discovery calls

If you want to get into the competitive, yet awesome world of SEO writing, I firmly believe that you need to sound like a professional from day one.

You need to know what your clients are talking about and impress them with a solid background in SEO terms, concepts and the like.

That’s why our SEO course has section upon section of SEO terms to know, definitions and more so that you become familiar with common SEO talk.

After taking this free SEO writing training course, you’ll get some key insights about how to speak professionally and intelligently to potential clients about the projects they’re looking for.

Even if you don’t have any SEO writing experience yet, you can impress your clients right out the gate by discussing SEO in an eloquent manner.

You’ll Learn About SEO Writing Career Paths

SEO writers have so many opportunities these days! When I first started SEO writing in 2017, I was only doing content writing in the form of blog posts.

However, I began to notice just how many awesome opportunities writers have access to once they have sufficient SEO writing training and know-how.

After you take this free video training, you might be both excited and overwhelmed by the options at your fingertips. But it’s okay! That means you can always find great projects that you love in the profitable world of SEO writing.

You’ll Learn What Fun Projects You Can Do

There is so much more to a professional SEO writing career than just blog posts! However, if you love writing SEO blog content (like me) there is still plenty of work out there for you too.

In the free SEO writing training video by the Ambitious Writer Society, you’ll learn about really cool SEO projects, explanations about what they are and some advice from an experienced SEO writer (AKA me).

There are obviously some things to consider about various types of SEO projects, so I want to make sure you have some insight before starting out.

One of the best things about getting into SEO writing?

99% of your projects can be completed on your own time - with little to no live calls, no lengthy meetings and no “opinionated” client feedback.

You’ll Learn About Easy SEO Writing Upsells

Like I mentioned before, I got my start writing SEO blog posts, but then I found so many ways to make extra money with awesome SEO writing upsells! These are things that clients need and SEO writers have the skills to do correctly.

Being that these upsells are really valuable to clients, you’ll have a pretty good chance of landing the extra work, especially if you (eventually) build a track record of success.

And luckily these upsells and add-ons are often smaller projects that won’t add a ton of work to your plate, especially if you are already tasked with writing the SEO content for a client.

Best of All: You Will Get Excited to Get into Professional SEO Writing

As you may imagine, instead of searching the Internet about where to learn SEO content writing for free and sifting through all of the SEO tools out there - many of which are filled with irrelevant information for writers - our free training is the perfect first step if you are considering getting into SEO writing.
